Search for the Spirits at Britain's Most Haunted Locations
Activities
Where you will experience a programme of amazing Haunted Weekends, Ghost Hunt Evenings and Overnighters, Psychic Nights, Interactive Paranormal Investigations, Ghost Tour Suppers and More.
Together with a spirited team of professional paranormal investigators, psychic medium, historian and ghost hosts we have put together a series of paranormal event packages of amazing quality.
All events are designed for maximum results and the latest investigation equipment is employed in the search for the spirits. Although nothing is ever guaranteed in ghost-hunting - and fortune may smile on the brave - the launch of HAUNTED LANCASHIRE events at Samlesbury Hall coincides with a spate of new paranormal activity. Since New Year 2004, numerous strange happenings have surprised and perplexed staff. Favourite recent activites include voices from nowhere, hair tugging, cold spots and items of furniture which refuse to budge when staff try to move them. We're looking forward to checking them out.
Participants will experience a ghost tour and receive instruction in paranormal investigation methods and technology. Techniques employed include psychic mediumship, camera and soundwork, divining and crystals, test experiments, logging and recording. All ghost-hunts are totally interactive.
The ghost-hunt experience can be exhausting and the senses are heightened for long periods of time. With that in mind, all our events provide exceptional hospitality. Weekend events incorporate a ghosthunters' 3 course dinner, luxury 3 Star accommodation and full board courtesy of the Whitehall Hotel and Samlesbury Hall. Overnight events start with a hearty Lancashire supper and end with a full English breakfast at dawn.

Samlesbury Hall
Originally burned and pillaged by Robert the Bruce, the fabric of the hall has absorbed multiple murders, suicide, madness, heresy, treason, imprisonment and Civil War. Resident spirits include the legendary Grey Lady - Dorothy Southworth, who witnessed the brutal murder of her young lover and his companions at the hands of her own family.
The Ghosts of Samlesbury Hall
The unfortunate lives and deaths of former residents appear to have left a legacy of relentless spirit activity. Records reveal the wraith like form of Lady Dorothy - seen countless times, her murdered lover, shallow graves containing human remains, the immovable blood stains of a slain priest, ghostly cries in the night, the spirit of a suicide, a terrifying vigil in 1924 and many strange physical and photographic anomalies that defy rational explanation.
The Staff of Samlesbury Hall
Where would the true ghost story be without the people who have experienced spirit activity and gone on to tell the tale.
The dedicated staff of Samlesbury Hall have, over this century, helped to turn a ruin in danger of demolition into the wonderful historic estate we see today.
However, there is more to living and working at Samlesbury Hall than meets the eye.
